PROPHET VINSON EUGENE SMITH

March 12, 1955- August 29, 2005

Prophet Vinson Eugene Smith was born March 12, 1955 to Rev Albert and Aileen Smith. He is third of four sons.  Prophet was a nineteen seventy three graduate of A L Brown High School, Kannapolis, NC.  He served as Vice president of AL Brown, played football and basketball.  He was raised in Fire Baptize Holiness Church.

He was married to Janet Stanback Smith.  They have two children, Roshunda and Vinson Smith Jr. (VJ); two grandchildren, Cinsere (CJ) and Anygha Allison.

In 1985 Prophet and Missy Jane join United Baptize Church under the leadership of Rev. John E. Jones.  Prophet was ordained as a deacon.  He was later ordained to preach and teach the word of God.

Prophet and his family joined Blessed Assurance Church under the leadership of Apostle David and Dr. Linda Smith.

The Lord used Prophet to help bring many souls to repent and be saved.

He was superintendent of the Sunday school department, started the street ministry, noonday prayer, Wednesday night prayer, Friday night bible study, and Passover.  Prophet felt like Sunday School was the heart of the church.  The building fund was one very close to his heart also.  And anything else his hands could find to do.

Prophet was a great husband, and an excellent father, the world’s best papa; best of all, a great servant for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Prophet received his calling from Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a Prophet unto the nations."

He was favored by the Almighty and he used his favor to instruct others on how to be better servants; how to live Holy; how to live right.  All those who were blessed to know this great man of God, I am sure he poured something into their lives.  He admonished the people of God not to be a leaky vessels, and to hold on to the horns of the alter.

Some of Prophet's Favorite sayings are:

"Holiness is Right"

“God will make you make it”

“You by yourself can not, God by himself will not, but you and God together!!!!!”

"Well Glory!!!!"

“I feel what I feel”

"You should know the truth and the truth will make you MAD"

"Heaven won't be heaven until I get there"

Propheteven with his body being afflicted, all he wanted was to make it to that pulpit so that he could  teach and preach the word.   Prophet wanted to get us where God wanted us to be. He wanted us all to have that love relationship with the Lord, and he was willing to suffer.

Prophet said God has called us to be a people for His Name, a people for His Praise and a people for His glory.

We all miss and love Prophet

Blessing in Yeshua’s Name

Jesus Our Messiah
